2008 gigs
-
13/06/2008 - Charity gig for Multiple Sclerosis at the Corby Trades & Labour Club, Corby
Well well well... we had our first mid-performance power failure and our first pair of tights thrown on stage!
-
31/05/2008 - The Boot & Shoe, South Luffenham, Rutland
What can I say?
-
10/05/2008 - Delia's 40th, George Hotel, Kettering
Great fun!
-
12/04/2008 - PIA Charity Spring Ball, Kettering Park Hotel, Kettering
A great night, with food included! £1800 was raised for the Primary Immunodeficiency Association, and there's already talk of doing it again next year!
-
30/03/2008 - Kara's 21st, Harrowden Hall, Wellingborough
Wow! This was a great, energy packed party full of 21st-birthday-party revellers who were determined to make it a memorable night. They succeeded!
-
29/03/2008 - Crown & Anchor, Wellingborough
We played at the launch night for Wellingborough's Crown & Anchor pub. It was a good night, and we played our new Beatles medley and Status Quo's Rocking All Over The World for the first time! Both went down really well. Thanks to everyone who came!
-
09/02/2008 - Irthlingborough Conservative Club
Our particular brand of music was received very well by the locals, many of whom seemed to be hardened classic rock fans of all ages!
Memorable moment: An attempted pignapping!
-
01/02/2008 - Sexton's Sound Bar, Thrapston
Sexton's Sound Bar were fantastic hosts, furnishing us with free drinks the minute we walked through the door. Despite not being packed out, by the end of the first set the whole place was dancing, and the band agreed that the second set was one of the most fun and energetic that we've ever done. We were made to feel totally welcome and didn't leave until well after we'd finished playing and packed up our kit!
-
20/01/2008 - Private wedding reception, Kettering Athletic Club, Kettering
We played at a friend of the band's wedding reception the week after the charity gig in the same place. It was hardly worth packing up last week! We went on stage after the Jets - a great rockabilly-style band.
-
12/01/2008 - Charity performance for The Cancer Treatment and Research Trust, Kettering Athletic Club, Kettering
This was a high energy and emotionally charged occasion to raise money for a charity which was very close to the heart of the organiser, and included one of our most responsive audiences to date- to the point that half of them got up on stage with us at one time or another!
Memorable moment: Our first stage invasions!

2007 gigs
-
23/11/2007 - The George, Wilby
The George is known by many of our parents as being a music pub from their youth, and it's still going strong. We were surprised at how many people turned up to this pub that appeared at first glance to be in the middle of nowhere. This was the first time that No Verdict has had it's name up in chalk outside a pub!
-
17/11/2007 - The Launch Gig, Village Hall, Geddington
We decided to throw our own party to celebrate No Verdict: We rented Geddington Village Hall for the night and invited around 150 friends and family. We took the opportunity to wave some buckets around and collected £ for the Cransley Hospice. We loved it and are planning to do a similar thing this year!

-
07/10/2007 - Charity performance for the Willen Hospice, Enigma Tavern, Bletchley
No Verdict were the first act on stage on the first day of this fundraiser at the Enigma Tavern. Anyone from Bletchley will know that this is a well-respected music venue and a pretty decent pub in its own right- we'd go back there like a shot.
Memorable moment: Neil forgot his sticks!
-
30/09/2007 - The Gloucester, Wellingborough
We were invited along to support a friend's band at this well-known Wellingborough pub. We only did half and hour's set, but the crowd were great and we just wanted to keep going! Apparently there's a picture of us on the slideshow that plays on the screens in the pub!
-
29/06/2007 - Ady's leaving do, Room 21, Kettering
We were booked for a leaving party for a colleague of Tom's mum. It was one of the most intimate gigs we've done as we filled up half of the room we were playing in! Copious quantities of alcohol were consumed by the party-goers and everybody joined in dancing and singing. We can't speak for anyone else, but the band certainly enjoyed themselves!
Memorable moment: The speaker stacks wobbling precariously as the crowd jumped and danced...
-
16/06/2007 - Grantham Carnival, Grantham
Next up, we played at Grantham's carnival, in the beer tent.
Memorable moment: Trying to get Neil's van into the top field, Mick got covered in mud from the wheel spin.
-
10/06/2007 - The Pitz (at The Woughton Centre), Milton Keynes - No Verdict's first gig!
Our gig at the Woughton Centre, Milton Keynes, was our first as No Verdict. With an enormous stage, professional sound stage and a purpose-built house lighting system, we started out in style!
